Community terms
DRAFT — to be agreed by participating communities. Nothing here is final until the participating communities agree it.
1. What the hub is
The hub lets Wardogs communities share reports about problem players, with evidence. Every report goes to the communities that chose to receive that kind of report. Taking part is each community's own choice, and so is every ban decision. The hub never bans anyone by itself.
2. Evidence standards
- Every report needs evidence. A report with no evidence is never sent out.
- Video is preferred. Screenshots are accepted when video isn't possible.
- The evidence must clearly show the player and the offence. Give timestamps for long videos (for example "offence at 03:12").
- Evidence must be hosted somewhere that lasts: YouTube, Medal, Streamable, Twitch clips, Imgur or Gyazo. Discord attachment links expire, so they are not accepted.
- No "trust me" reports. Reputation, rumours and "everyone knows" are not evidence.
3. Categories
| Category | What counts |
|---|---|
| Hate speech | Slurs or abuse targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality or disability. |
| Harassment | Targeted, repeated abuse of a player or staff member, including threats. |
| Griefing | Deliberately ruining the game for others: team killing, sabotage, blocking objectives. |
| Exploiting | Abusing bugs or unintended mechanics for an advantage. |
| Cheating (suspected) | Informational only, so others can keep an eye out. This is not a cheating ban list. |
4. The 48-hour evidence rule
A report can be filed before its evidence is uploaded. If no evidence is added within 48 hours, the report expires and is never sent out. Expired reports count against the submitting community's record.
5. Disputes and auditor independence
- Any participating community can dispute a report, giving a reason.
- Disputes are decided by hub auditors, ideally drawn from several communities.
- An auditor never rules on a dispute that involves their own community.
- If a report is overturned, every community that received it is told, and communities that banned the player are asked to reconsider.
6. Track record, probation and removal
- Each community's record is visible to other participants: reports submitted, how many were disputed, how many were overturned, and how many expired without evidence.
- A community with a poor record can be put on probation. While on probation, an auditor must approve each of its reports before they are sent out.
- A community that keeps breaking these terms can be suspended or removed by the hub admins.
7. Players
The hub has no appeal process. Each ban is the decision of the community that made it, so a player who wants to appeal a ban contacts that community directly, through whatever process it runs. Each community handles its own appeals. The hub and its auditors have no say in them.
